The quickest way back to the music

If a desktop build will not open, use the Web App first. It contains the same seven calculators, saves settings locally and can be installed from a supported browser for offline use.

Reloading the Web App or clearing its site data can resolve a stale offline cache. Clearing site data also resets locally saved calculator values.

Desktop installation notes

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple Silicon and Intel: unzip the download and drag Amanita Calculator to Applications. Because the current build is not notarized, the first double-click may be blocked; right-click or Control-click the app, choose Open, then confirm Open once more.
  • Windows: if SmartScreen appears, choose More info, then Run anyway. Windows 10 may also need Microsoft WebView2; the installer can fetch it when required.
  • Linux .deb: install the package through your package manager so required system libraries can be resolved.
  • Linux AppImage: make the file executable with chmod +x, then launch it. The AppImage is much larger because it includes its own browser runtime.

Reporting a problem

A useful report includes the platform and version, which calculator was open, the values entered, the result you expected, what happened instead and a screenshot when the issue is visual.

Please avoid sending private project files or credentials. Amanita Calculator does not need them to diagnose calculation or interface problems.

Support the project

Amanita Calculator is free and does not sell subscriptions or display ads. Sharing the tool with another producer is already meaningful support.

For those who prefer to contribute financially, Buy Me a Coffee is available as a voluntary external option. It does not unlock features and is never required to use the app.
