Settings and calculations stay local
Values such as BPM, tuning, selected tool and interface preferences are stored on your device so the calculator can restore your workspace. In the Web App this uses browser storage; desktop builds use their local application storage.
Amanita Calculator does not require an account and does not send the BPM, note, rhythm, tuning or progression values you enter to Amanita Music. Clearing browser or application data removes locally saved settings.
Anonymous usage statistics
The website and apps use a self-hosted Umami installation at stats.amanita.music. It records page views and simple event names such as opening a tool, copying a result, starting playback, installing the PWA or choosing a download. Calculation values are not attached to those events.
Umami does not use cookies or cross-site advertising identifiers. Standard analytics metadata may include the page URL and title, referrer, browser language, screen size, browser, operating system, device type and approximate country. Request data such as IP address and user agent can be processed to create an anonymous session and provide aggregate statistics; it is not used by Amanita Music to identify you.
Your controls
- The Web App respects the browser's Do Not Track setting.
- The anonymous-stats switch inside the Web App can disable or re-enable analytics on that device.
- Content blockers can block the analytics script without affecting calculator functions.
- The calculator remains usable offline after it has been installed as a PWA or desktop app.
Hosting, downloads and server logs
Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure may temporarily process request information such as IP address, user agent, requested path, response status and time. These logs are used for reliability, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, not for advertising or building personal profiles.
Downloading a desktop installer creates an ordinary web request in the same way as opening a page. The application does not include account creation, payment processing or cloud storage for your projects.
